Scope:

The Operations Apprentice serves on the Operations Team by supporting the planning and execution of Connect Ministries’ events and program logistics. This role assists with event preparation, coordination, and follow-up to ensure experiences are executed with excellence and clarity. The Operations Apprentice will grow in leadership, organization, and operational skills while helping create smooth, well-run events that support Connect’s mission of helping churches meet new people.

Operations Team:

The Operations Team equips Connect Ministries to help churches meet new people by executing logistics, managing systems, and delivering reliable information.

Reports To: Program Operations Coordinator

Responsibilities: 

  • Assist with event logistics for Conference, STW, EOSB, Evaluations, and other Connect events.

  • Support travel, lodging, meals, transportation, and rooming list coordination.

  • Assist with venue preparation, check-in systems, and onsite execution plans.

  • Help coordinate Connect Crew's onsite support needs.

  • Support registration systems and event communications as assigned.

  • Assist with ordering and organizing event-related supplies.

  • Assist with documenting event processes and SOPs.

  • Provide on-site event support during key events as needed.

  • Assist in writing manuals for the Connect Camps summer staff team members

  • Assist with special operations projects as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Actively involved in a church community and committed to living out evangelical beliefs daily.

  • Coachable and eager to learn new skills.

  • Proficient in problem-solving, analysis, and decision-making.

  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills and the ability to establish effective relationships.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite programs.

  • Previous experience as Summer Staff is preferred.

  • Excellent communication, management, and organizational skills.

  • Alignment with the mission and vision of Connect Ministries.

  • Demonstrates presence, self-confidence, and good listening ability.

  • Ability to communicate effectively and build relationships with external vendors.

Part-Time - Paid - 25 Hours per Week - In-Person
