Scope:
The Customer Care Assistant serves churches, parents, and participants by providing clear communication, timely support, and thoughtful problem resolution across Connect Ministries’ camps, events, and tools. This role exists to ensure that every interaction reflects care, clarity, and excellence so churches and families feel supported as they engage with Connect Ministries’ mission of helping churches meet new people.
Operations Team:
The Operations Team equips Connect Ministries to help churches meet new people by executing logistics, managing systems, and delivering reliable information.
Reports To: Operations Coordinator
Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary point of contact for parent and participant questions across camps, events, and Connect services.
Respond to inquiries through Freshdesk, email, phone, and text in a timely, professional, and caring manner.
Support camper and event registration systems, including troubleshooting issues and guiding families through next steps.
Manage registration discount codes, outstanding balances, cancellations, and refunds.
Provide clear and accurate information related to schedules, policies, logistics, and expectations.
Maintain and update parent FAQs, help resources, and support documentation.
Assist with parent communication plans and parent-facing content as needed.
Track and document common questions, issues, and resolutions to improve systems and communication.
Escalate complex concerns appropriately while maintaining relational care and follow-through.
Assist with Onboarding paperwork with summer staff.
Assist with Skill and small group assignments with Connect Camps.
Requirements:
Actively involved in a church community and committed to living out evangelical beliefs daily.
Coachable and eager to learn new skills.
Proficient in problem-solving, analysis, and decision-making.
Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills and the ability to establish effective relationships.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite programs.
Previous experience as Summer Staff is preferred.
Excellent communication, management, and organizational skills.
Alignment with the mission and vision of Connect Ministries.
Demonstrates presence, self-confidence, and good listening ability.
Ability to communicate effectively and build relationships with external vendors.
Part-Time - Paid - 15 Hours per Week - In-Person
