Dr. Robert Smith Jr.

Dr. Robert Smith Jr. is a renowned author, professor, and ministry leader who served at Beeson Divinity School for more than 25 years, holding the Charles T. Carter Baptist Chair of Divinity. A former pastor of 20 years, Smith has taught at over 125 universities and seminaries across the United States with a focus on passionate, Christ-centered preaching and the rich legacy of African American preaching. Dustin Dozier

Mandy Arioto is the President and CEO of The MomCo, a global outreach organization mobilizing millions of moms and partnering with tens of thousands of churches worldwide. A sought-after speaker and author, Mandy is known for her insights on evangelism, parenting, relationships, and spiritual and cultural issues. Tony Merida

Tony Merida is the founding pastor of Imago Dei Church in Raleigh, NC, and Vice President of Planter Development for SEND Network. A pastor, church planter, professor, and author, Tony has taught at leading seminaries and universities. This opening session will establish the vision and framework for the conference. Speakers will provide an overview of current trends, key statistics, and the broader context behind the conference theme which is presented through the visual of a funnel: “An outreach conference designed to equip church leaders to effectively reach new people in their communities and help them become deeply connected within the life of the church.”
