Position: Finance & Office Operations Intern

Scope: The Finance & Office Operations Intern serves on the Operations Team by supporting the financial operations of Connect Ministries. This role assists with budgeting, reporting, and data organization so leadership can make informed decisions that support the mission of helping churches meet new people. This Intern gains hands-on experience in nonprofit financial operations while contributing to accurate, timely, and reliable financial information. 

Operations Team: The Operations Team equips Connect Ministries to help churches meet new people by executing logistics, managing systems, and delivering reliable information.

Reports To: Operations Coordinator

Responsibilities: 

  • Participate in financial statements and processes, including completing inventory purchase reports.

  • Assist in creating financial processes for the CM team

  • Assist in creating budget templates for teams

  • Assist in creating, managing, and processing expense reports for Teammates

  • Assist in projections for Connect Camps

  • Assist in the storage of financial documents

  • Assist in preparing financials and delivering to teams

  • Assist in managing category spend by team.

  • Assist in Check Deposit and Recording

  • Assist in Invoice Payment and Sending

  • Assist with special financial projects as assigned.

  • Assist with day-to-day office operations as assigned

Requirements:

  • Actively involved in a church community and committed to living out evangelical beliefs daily.

  • Coachable and eager to learn new skills.

  • Proficient in problem-solving, analysis, and decision-making.

  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills and the ability to establish effective relationships.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite programs.

  • Previous experience as Summer Staff is preferred.

  • Excellent communication, management, and organizational skills.

  • Alignment with the mission and vision of Connect Ministries.

  • Demonstrates presence, self-confidence, and good listening ability.

  • Ability to communicate effectively and build relationships with external vendors.

Part-Time - Unpaid - 10 Hours per Week - Either In-Person or Remote
